How to Make a blog on Blogspot

On this section, we will talk about how to make a blog on Blogspot (a.k.a Blogger). Before we start, I’ll try to review a little about blog. Blog (abbreviation from Web log) is sites which more dominant in private characteristic. This means, most of the content will be affected (realize or not) by the characteristic of the Blogger user himself. Blog was made by the designers of the blog provider in order to work automatically and easily to be operated on, even if we don't know the programming language to make website.

Some other blog provider which famous nowadays, are wordpress.com, wordpress.org, or blogsome. On this article will talk about how to make an account or sign-up on Blogger or Blogspot. To make an account or sign-up on Blogger we must already have e-mail account.

Note:
Because Blogger (Blogspot) is Google’s free features, it's better if we use gmail account.


To make an account or sign-up on Blogger, Follow this instructions:


Go to blogger on http://www.blogspot.com (or you can click on the address). You'll see the page like on the picture below.
How to Make a blog on Blogspot - blogger Start
  1. Language; we can choose our blog language here. On this session, I'm using English (UK). If you prefer to use other language, you can choose one in the language dropdown menu.
  2. 3 easy steps to creating blogger account; those are the steps we'll use on this section.
  3. Sign in to use blogger; if you already have blogger account, sign in here.

Click an arrow sign, inscribed with “CREATE YOUR BLOG NOW”. Then you'll see the
blogger sign-up form (Create account form)page like on the picture below.

Fill the blogger sign-up form by following this guidance:
  • Email Address; Fill it with our email address, or we can create an email account then, if we don’t have it. [Note: The new Blogger requires a Google Account to access your blogs.]
  • Enter a Password; Fill it with password that we easy to remember
  • Retype Password; Re-write our password again here
  • Display Name; Name that we want to be displayed in our posts
  • Word Verivication; Fill it with alphabet that shown on the image
  • Acceptance of Term; Click on the check box "I Accept the Terms of Service", it means we agree to follow the rules on blogger "Terms of Service". If you read the rules first, click on “Terms of Service” link.

After finishing to fill up all necessary field, click the arrow inscribed with “CONTINUE”. Then you'll see the page like on the picture below.
Name your blog

Fill the blogger naming form by following this guidance:
  • Blog Title; Name of our blog, we can make title for our blog here, example "my blog", we can change it if we need.
  • Blog Address (URL); It’s our blog’s address. Ex: if we type "myblog", so our blog address is http://myblog.blogspot.com. Click on "Check Availability" to check if the address were used. If it’s not available, it means we have to looking for other blog address and check the availability again. If it available, it means we can use this address for our blog.
  • Advance Setup; Don’t have to pay attention on it yet, we can learn it later.

After finishing to fill up all necessary field, click the arrow inscribed with “CONTINUE”. Then you'll see the page like on the picture below.

Those are 12 Blogger ready to use templates. Choose one template you like (You can change it later, if you want).

Click the arrow inscribed with “CONTINUE”.

Wait a moment. Then we'll see the page like on the picture below.
Your blog has been created

That's it, now we have a blog on the blogger. We can start to use the new blog by write down (Start Posting) articles. Feel free to fill up your blog with everything you want (as long it's not violating blogger Terms of Service).

Note: For one account, we can have more than one blog.
